"Oh my my, am I really that famous? Ahaha! ..Well, a formal introduction is only polite, isn’t it? I am Adrien, Fontaine’s most magnifique Director, Producer, Kamera-man, and Screenwriter. Quite the mouthful, isn’t it?" - Adrien's Hello
SUMMARIZED CHARACTER STORIES
WARNING FOR TRIGGERING TOPICS SUCH AS DRUG ABUSE & ADDICTION
Adrien, the man who's widely contributed for starting the rising trend of Films in Fontaine with his own dramatic film "Requiem: Remus' Ninth Symphony". With a film that shared Remuria's old legends for many to see, it's ironic to hear his own story be forgotten to history. But to be fair, It's hard to imagine Fontaine's Famous Filmmaker growing up on the streets of Fleuve Cendre. After his Father's passing at a rather young age, Adrien was left working odd jobs for scraps and stale food. Eventually, he fell victim to Marcel's Sinthe Operation and became reliant on it.Looking for items to sell for money, he tumbled upon a manuscript his late father had wrote and dedicated to him. After sitting down and reading it, Adrien decided to make his father's late dreams come true decades later.Dedicating his life to the craft of Film, Adrien created a masterpiece of its time and revolutionized Fontaine's Film Industry. On opening night of screening, Adrien finally became content for the first time in his life by making his father's wish come true.. When he suddenly shocked out of his daydreaming by the crowds cheers... and an odd, blue glass orb in his hand?
"Ah.. I see you've heard of Adrien... Isn't he the absolute worst?! Traveler, surely you believe me! He's the most arrogant, self-centered person I've ever met- Hey-! Lynette- don't just walk away!!!" - Lyney
PRE-ARCHON QUEST
Adrien has a rather large personality that tends to fill the room just to hide how lonely he really is. Growing up in the Fleuve Cendre isolated from others his age to only interacting with others in a professional setting has skewed his conception of social interaction, especially when it comes to Lyney. To others, Adrien is an eccentric filmmaker dedicated to his craft that’s tolerable on most days. However, to Lyney, Adrien is quite the insufferable individual who he hates working on projects with and the only reason they still work together is due to Lynette’s tolerance of him. This is because of Adrien’s tendency to tease and bicker (flirt) with Lyney while working with him. Everytime they see each other, it results in an argument that Adrien always wins, much to Lyney’s chagrin. In general, his talent is well known and liked but himself… not too much. Many people aren’t close to him outside of work-related projects and the people that are cannot stand him (see: Lyney & Chiori) due to his personality or tendency to nitpick smaller details in the big picture of his films.
“Ugh you’re so frustrating! Don’t you know there are easier ways of showing people you care?”
“Haha.. then why don’t you show me the easier ways?”
“Fine, I will!”
DATING LYNEY
Lyney and Adrien have a very antagonistic relationship in the beginning, it’s somewhat of a one-sided rivalry. They constantly bicker and try to outdo one another with Adrien always winning in the end due to Lyney getting agitated and flustered by someone matching his energy.Lyney constantly rants about how much he hates Adrien to his siblings and anyone else who will listen, but it’s painfully obvious to everyone else how attracted Lyney is to Adrien. Eventually, Lyney himself comes to realize this and starts to really look closer at who Adrien is as a person. This ends up leading him to another realization: Adrien can’t properly communicate his feelings. Like.. at all…Lyney then makes it his personal mission to properly befriend Adrien and show him the proper ways of showing love and affection by taking him out on “friend” dates basically, which ends up kind of turning into a “doesn’t realize they’re dating” situation.
